We wanted to let you know about a few of the products you can expect to see this year from SafanDarley, Timesavers, and Mazak. Keep reading to learn more:
Mazak Optonics (Booth #A4001)
At FABTECH 2017, Mazak will be showing its new Optiplex 4020 Fiber III 8-kW laser cutting system:
- It utilizes a new drive system to provide high productivity, speed, and accuracy while incorporating features like integrated and intelligent setup and monitoring functions that simplify operation.
- The OPTIPLEX 4020 Fiber III 8-kW has been engineered to accommodate Mazak’s extensive range of automated material handling systems.
- Sensors in the multifunction torch actively monitor piercing and cutting operations to improve throughput and quality. If they detect an anomaly, they pause and adjust the operation to return to optimal conditions.

SafanDarley (Booth #A2638)
In addition to highlighting a range of sheet metal-forming products like the E-Brake Ultra servo-electric brake (available in 56, 90, 112, and 146 tons and 6, 8, 10, and 13.6 feet), SafanDarley will also debut the H-Brake Hybrid press brake.
By combining hydraulics and electronics, the H-brake promises to deliver:
- Energy savings
- Restricted noise levels
- Reduced oil usage
The hybrid drive will only operate when the press brake is actively bending, and it features a standard 20-inch gap in the side frames to ensure flexibility. SafanDarley advises oil changes and routine maintenance typically be performed every 7,000 hours.

Timesavers (Booth #A2802)
Timesavers will have a variety of mid-range equipment (slag grinding, deburring, finishing, and wet dust collection machines) on display. They will all be powered up and ready to run demonstrations.
